I just ordered 2 new computers from Dell. A Desk top and a Lap top.
My desk top came last week and my lap top yesterday.

I use the wireless on the laptop of course. I have a router and the security is active. Go on the Lap top to detect the wireless network and guess what i find.

You guessed it 2 high speed Internet Wireless networks with great signal strength. Turns out that I need to mess around with the settings of my router to find the codes to my own protected network but no so for my neighbors. Even gives me the neighbors name of his computer and network.

Should I
A) tell him that his network is insecure. A) 2
B) cancel my Internet and use his for free and play GW on it B) 4
C) just let things lye C) 0
d) hack his puter with the message "We're Here" D) 2

Anyone else notice that people leave their networks WIDE OPEN? :if she is pretty A) gets a 3 and B) gets -2

Edit: Humm seems like I should take some sort of action. letter c just does not cut it.

First, I would "A) tell him that his network is insecure."

Then, if his internet is still left unsecured, use it for downloading music/movies/etc. lol

My grandpa had this same thing, he bought a laptop to use on his boat. I was installing some programs on it and noticed that I can surf around the web

I notice it alot living close proximity to downtown Boston gives me tons of open wifi. However my neighbors in my area are all people +50 yrs old and not really good with computers, so they probably dont have wireless routers. And the only good quality signal I get is from a house 2 doors down. Not a very good signal from inside my house, but if I sit out on my deck I get excellent. ( Thats where I go to play GW, CS, and CoD4 now a days)

But if you feel morally inclined to tell your neighbor about about his/her uninsecure network go straight ahead. Is your neighbor a girl or guy? If it is a hot girl, choose A!!!

Choose a.

Let's say another person, of unscrupulous nature, discovers this unsecured network. They can hack your neighbor's computer and yours. At least tell them about it. If the don't do anything about it, use it to download stuff and keep your internet for gaming!

don't bother playing on wireless, even if the signal is good you will get booted a lot more than if you were wired.
back in my days of laptop gaming our router was on the same desk and i got kicked pretty often.
OT, tell your neighbor that it's unsecured and that if it's still unsecured in a week you will be utilizing it to download pr0n.

Well I can find my neighbor's wireless line, I also know my line is insecure... But my dad won't make it secure for some stupid reason... Its comcast and the line drops so often so anyone using it will not have fun anyways.
